Schedule Editor
A weekly schedule of start and stop times for equipment, edited on screen and written to PLC tags.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click Schedule Editor in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use Schedule Editor where the PLC holds a fixed set of weekly run slots, such as a discharge or lighting schedule. Pick week-grid to draw slots on a seven-day track, or slot-list for a table of slots.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Variant | week-grid, slot-list | week-grid | week-grid (default, draw, move and resize slots on a seven-day track) or slot-list (a table with slot, start, stop and days). |
| Title | String | Schedule | The heading, also used as the title of the Apply confirmation. |
| Slot Count | Number | 4 | The number of slots, from 1 to 32. Default 4. |
| Start Tag ({n}) | String | (none) | Tag path template for a slot start time, in minutes since midnight. {n} stands for the slot number, 1 up to Slot Count, for example [Plant]Sched/Slot{n}/Start. |
| Stop Tag ({n}) | String | (none) | Tag path template for a slot stop time, in minutes since midnight. A stop of 1440 means the end of the day. |
| Days Tag ({n}) | String | (none) | Tag path template for the days of a slot, as a bit mask with Sunday as bit 0 and Saturday as bit 6. Blank means every day and no days value is written. |
| Confirm Apply | true, false | true | When true (default), Apply lists the changes and asks the operator to confirm before writing. |
| Requires Signature | false, true | false | When true, the first changed tag is written through the electronic-signature dialog and the rest follow once it is signed. |
Binding
This component has no single value binding.
Edits are staged on screen. Apply checks the whole set and then writes only the tags that changed, through the normal tag write path, which the gateway audits. Revert drops the staged edits. A slot with no days is Off.
What it refuses
A slot must stop after it starts on the same day, so there are no overnight slots: split 22:00 to 06:00 into 22:00 to 24:00 and 00:00 to 06:00. A slot whose start equals its stop is refused. Two slots that share a day and overlap in time are refused. Nothing is written until the set is valid.
