Appearance
Iris Chat
A chat box where an operator asks Iris about the running plant, in plain words, from a Spectrum screen.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click Iris Chat in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use Iris Chat on a screen where operators may want to ask "why is this high?" or "what changed?". Iris looks at the tags on the screen and at live data the signed-in person could already read, answers in plain text, and labels every answer as AI-generated and not a safety function. It is read-only: a change it suggests comes back as a card showing the tag, its value now and the proposed value, and only a person who is allowed to write that tag and to approve Iris changes can apply it. An administrator turns Operator chat on in ConfigHub under Iris AI, and the gateway needs the aiOperator license. A person without the AiUse capability sees "Iris is not available for this user" and nothing is requested. Nothing in the chat can open a link or leave the screen.

Binding
This component has no single value binding.
No value binding and no writes: the component only asks questions. A button action "Ask About This Screen (Iris)" opens the same chat in a panel, handing Iris the screen and the tags on it (at most 200).
