Appearance
Value Display
A read-only numeric or text readout with a caption and unit.
In Studio
Drag a tag from the Tags panel and drop it on the canvas. Studio creates a Value Display at the drop point, already bound to that tag. It has no entry in the Components panel.
When to use
Use Value Display for a bound process value an operator only needs to read, not adjust. It is also what dragging a tag straight onto a screen creates for you.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value | String | (none) | The bound value to display. |
| Label | String | Value | The caption shown above the readout. |
| Unit | String | (none) | The unit text appended after the readout, e.g. °F, psi. |
| Format | String | (none) | An optional Python-style format string applied to the value before display. |
Binding
Click Bind… on the Value property and bind it to a tag or an expression to drive the live value.
This binding is read-only — the component never writes to the tag.
