Appearance
Status Indicator
A colored dot with a caption showing an ON/OFF process state.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click Status Indicator in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use Status Indicator for a compact binary status readout — a permissive, a run/fault flag — where a full smart-object symbol (Motor, Pump) would be more than the screen needs.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value | String | (none) | The bound process value. Any truthy value is treated as ON; falsy as OFF (via the project's standard boolean coercion, so the string "false" correctly reads as OFF). |
| Label | String | Status | The caption shown beside the dot. |
| On Color | Color | #FFFFFF | The dot color when the value reads ON. Defaults to the HMI palette's running-state color (white). |
| Off Color | Color | #808080 | The dot color when the value reads OFF. Defaults to the HMI palette's stopped-state color (grey). |
Binding
Click Bind… on the Value property and bind it to a tag or an expression to drive the live value.
This binding is read-only — the component never writes to the tag.
With no live data at all, the dot renders in the palette's stale-value color rather than falling back to OFF — an unknown value never displays as if it were a real reading.
