Appearance
Slider
A draggable control that reads and writes a numeric setpoint within a range.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click Slider in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use Slider for an operator-adjustable analog setpoint — a target level, a speed, a limit.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value | String | (none) | The bound setpoint value, shown above the track and reflected in the handle position. |
| Label | String | Setpoint | The caption shown above the track. |
| Min | Number | 0 | The minimum value (left end of the track). |
| Max | Number | 100 | The maximum value (right end of the track). |
| Step | Number | 1 | The increment the handle snaps to while dragging. |
| Unit | String | (none) | The unit text appended after the numeric readout. |
| Requires Signature | false, true | false | Same contract as Button's Requires Signature. While a signature is required, dragging only moves the displayed handle — nothing is written and no live value is published per tick; the signature dialog opens once, on release, with the value the operator settled on. |
Binding
Click Bind… on the Value property and bind it to a tag or an expression to drive the live value.
To let an operator change the tag from this component, tick Bidirectional (read-write) on the binding. Without it the component only displays the value.
The slider writes as you drag: every change goes through the value binding straight away. In an older project where Value holds a tag path instead of a binding, it writes 150 ms after the handle stops moving. With Requires Signature on, nothing is written while you drag; the final value is written once you release the handle and sign.
