Appearance
Label
Displays static or bound text, optionally formatted.
In Studio
In Studio, double-click Label in the Components category of the Components panel. It is added to the open view, where you can drag it into place.
When to use
Use a Label for a caption, a heading, or any text that is not a numeric process value with a unit — for a bound numeric readout, use Value Display instead.
Properties
| Property | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Text | String | Label | The text to show. Bind it to a tag or expression to display a live value; a bound boolean renders as ON or OFF rather than true/false. |
| Format | String | (none) | An optional Python-style format string (e.g. {:.1f}) applied to the resolved text before it is shown. |
| Long Press (ms) | Number | 1200 | How long, in milliseconds, the operator must hold the label before its long-press action (if one is configured in Events) fires. A value of 0 or less falls back to 1200 ms at runtime. |
Binding
Click Bind… on the Text property and bind it to a tag or an expression to drive the live value.
This binding is read-only — the component never writes to the tag.
Label is read-only — it has no write-back path.
